The past week has seen me huddled over my computer, reading posts, replying to them, and then going back and looking for more! I have become a Craigslist addict! First I just wanted an apartment in Buenos Aires. Then we wanted to meet people in Rio for Carnival, and find a place to crash on someone's floor without shelling out so much money even for a hostel! (Hostel's are costing over $60 USD per person, per night in a 12 bed dorm--no thank you, very much!)
Most recently, we've been putting up personal ads to try and meet other cool people in the city. Here's an ad Jackey posted last week. Next Friday, I think Jackey's going to organize a dinner with all the new people who've responded, and we'll see how it turns out!

I'll probably try tomorrow, and the next day... What else might I need though?? Maybe a mattress... maybe a ride from the airport... all is possible with Craigslist! For those who think it might be dangerous, it probably could be. But we're three fairly large poor guys, and we're not taking anything valuable with us.
